The Late Great Al Hirschfeld
During my senior year of college, one of the libraries had an Al Hirschfeld exhibit, and Hirschfeld himself was present for the opening reception. I've always been a fan of his caricatures, and my roommate convinced me to take an Etch-a-Sketch with me. I did, and did a quick reproduction of his self-portrait:
I got to talk to him (briefly) and presented him with the Etch-a-Sketch, which he liked but was afraid to hold himself. I did manage to get a picture with him (though the drawing isn't really visible in this photo):
